Welcome to The Journey!
We know visiting a new church can feel overwhelming, and we want to make your experience as comfortable as possible. The Journey is a community of believers dedicated to meeting people where they are, teaching them to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, and transforming lives through love and service. Here’s what you can expect when you join us for worship.
Service Times & Location
We are located at 255 Wilson Highway in Millsboro, Delaware. There is a parking lot adjacent to the church and on-street parking is permitted on either side of Wilson Hwy during worship. Our worship service is at 10 AM each Sunday. In addition, we do offer an adult Sunday School class at 9 AM in the Sanctuary.
How Should I Dress?
At The Journey, we want you to feel comfortable and welcome just as you are. There is no specific dress code, so feel free to come in whatever makes you feel at ease. Whether you prefer casual attire like jeans and a t-shirt or more traditional church wear, or somewhere in between, you'll fit right in. Our community embraces diversity, and we believe that what matters most is your presence, not your outfit.
What Are Your Services Like?
Our services are welcoming and engaging, We sing a mix of hymns and contemporary worship music. From time to time we offer more traditional elements such as the Apostles Creed or The Lord’s Prayer. You’ll experience a relaxed atmosphere where you can come as you are. Each service is designed to help you connect with God in a real and personal way.
What About Kids?
Here at the Journey we love children. We also believe it is important that children experience worship with adults, so they join their parents for the beginning of the service, participating in musical worship, prayer, and the offering. Before the sermon, they receive a short, engaging message designed just for them. Then, they are dismissed to a special time where they can explore the day's lesson in an age-appropriate and interactive way with our great children’s leaders.
What Happens in a Service?
Our services typically last about an hour and include worship, prayer, and a relevant message from the Bible. We incorporate modern worship music and meaningful traditions to help connect you with God in a real way.
Will I Be Asked to Do Anything?
We won’t single you out, ask you to stand, or make you feel uncomfortable in any way. We do ask that you fill out a connection card so we can get to know you better.
How Can I Get Connected?
The best way to get connected is to fill out a connection card, or join us for one of our events. We believe church is more than just a Sunday service—it’s a community.
